In my campaigns of FR, we seldom make it past 8th – 10th level with our characters, and that is after years of playing. The most significant event that occurs in our campaign was that after the Time of Troubles (around 1363 if I recall correctly), Zhent forces from Darkhold launched a massive assault on Hluthvar and Corm Orp in a move to try and dominate the trade routes and eliminate the Helmite faction in the area. With the help of the PCs (who infiltrated Darkhold and caused some havoc) and two battlesystem sessions later, the Zhents were repelled with heavy losses to both sides. The following things had occurred:
Ashemmi (Semmemon’s partner) had been captured and was being held prisoner. The Pereghost went MIA during the battle system battle, status left as unknown. Corm Orp have been leveled.
I moved away and we were not able to continue our PNP campaign after that, (but now we are gearing back up to play online via NWN).
Now starting off with new pcs some years later (I am beginning in 1369), I am trying to work out events to bring things in line with what is written in the books. (For example Semmemon and Ashemmi flee Darkhold in around sometime after his retreat there in 1370, so I am figuring out how she was released/escaped etc.)
What I would like to know is if anyone has led a legitimate campaign (i.e. from 1st level PCs, etc) that resulted in the capture or death or alteration of any distinct realms NPCs and how that came about?
I am really interested in those mid-range personlities, I want to point out that most of the Uber-charcters (like any of Mystra’s chosen, etc) I don’t even like to include in the game as they are basically demi-gods in my eyes. But if you have a good story I’d still like to hear it.
