Just so we are clear, there were very few cogent explanations for the genesis of Nalavarathautoryl and the ghazneths in Troy's work in "Beyond the High Road" and "Death of the Dragon". My article is an attempt to explain them but I can tell you it wasn't easy!

My article is an attempt to explain them but I can tell you it wasn't easy! I'm not sure that I went into depth as to how and why the dragon was freed by Vangey simply because to this day, I don't understand how it occurred despite reading the relevant sections of the novel over 20 times. The "why" seems to be because freeing her was the only way Vangey could escape himself. The "how" remains a mystery to me. Something to do with wishes.
