For example if a Paladin of Tyr at some point realized the essence of his faith was more aligned with Torm, could he make the transition without loss of blessing or some dire consequence? Would it require prayer and some kind of acceptance from the two gods to allow for such a transition? |

Posted - 29 Sep 2016 : 04:03:26 It depends on how much a change a Paladin makes as to how hard it is. For deities somewhat the same aligned it tends not to be that hard. The general rule is simple, change deity as a Paladin you lose all blessings of that deity, no Paladin powers. The new deity will however restore all Paladin powers after an atonement. The atonement is basically doing a quest, pray or other service based on how much the former actions were against the new deity. As both Tyr and Torm are Lawful Good the atonement would be a light task as compared to a Paladin switching from Bane to Tyr. In general it is up to the DM to determine what amount of works are required to complete the atonement based on the history of the PC or NPC . |
