I'm painting a miniature for a friend (Wood Elf Druid). The mini has a banner and I'd like to put something Elvish on it. I know he won't have a problem with something a little humorous, so I decided to put the equivelent of "Only you can prevent forest fires". If someone would be kind enough to translate this for me, it would be greatly appreciated.

Even Tolkein's elvish has a word for 'fire', but it still doesn't have a word for 'prevent'. How odd. |

There is an elven dictionary here at Candlekeep but it's drawn from a number of disparate sources.

I couldn't see direct words for 'fire' or 'prevent' but you could extrapolate from some other words/phrases.
