Posted - 09 Jan 2016 : 00:47:19 I used some fan made maps, so they're not 100% correct... but then the printout is a little fuzzy because of the size of what's printed. Mostly, you just see country names, forest names, etc.... and not city ones. But, it shows Faerun, the hordelands, Zakhara, and Kara Tur.

For a tablecloth, where and what kind of tablecloth is it? Is it like printed on cloth tablecloth, or is it printed on like plastic/vinyl? Just wondering, how much did it run? |

Am I correct in assuming those are screen-printed onto the blanket like logo T-Shirts? Very cool.
I'm waiting for someone to get clever and make a globe of the Forgotten Realms world. Is it still Abeir-Toril, or is it just Toril now?
I think its just Toril now, Abeir being its own separate planet or whatever.
But, hell yeah, I would by a globe of Toril!! |

Posted - 10 Jan 2016 : 13:59:48 google for photo blanket. The first one I saw was the one I used, and luckily that day they were having a 50% off sale on ANYTHING they made. However, that being said, after I sent it through them, I noticed some of the later companies are a lot cheaper (some are like $20). I can't say if there's a quality difference though. |

Posted - 09 Jan 2016 : 01:18:51 Its a photo blanket, but I'm not sure how they printed it. I just uploaded the maps using the layouts they gave, kind of repositioned them just a little, then picked a font for the text. I wish I would have written the names of each region on the blanket now and spaced them above each smaller map and gotten a little fancier, but I just was curious what kind of printout I could get. I can definitely make out country names. I can even read things like "Azulduth, lake of salt". I'm tempted to do another one of just Faerun only and make that part bigger to see what kind of detail can be done. Then the next time I'm DM'ing instead of playing, I can pull out the blanket and show the players where things are in relation. I could probably get better detail if I like printed on some kind of tarp/tablecloth stuff... but I also figured this would be cool to just bundle up on the couch with. My game of thrones blanket map has better detail, but that thing is miniscule in comparison (you can even see it under this blanket). |
