I've seen them introduced in CotSQ as servitor undead and portrayed again as such in the WotSQ novels. Have they been mentioned elsewhere? Ever portrayed as autonomous undead with their own goals and desires? Their ability to retain their command undead after their conversion seems to indicate some ability to retain the powers (and ambitions) they held in life.

HB welcome. Ao knows there are enough filthy Seldarine-forsaken drowsies creeping around these corridors. It seems like they could be a nice change of pace from your common vampire or lich.
