Posted - 02 Sep 2014 : 07:26:04 You're welcome, Eric. I'm happy to have helped someone, albeit in such a tiny way, who has had such a massive influence on my love for FR. :) |

Posted - 01 Sep 2014 : 17:38:11 That image is from the 2nd Edition Monstrous Compendium Volume IV book, which was a reprinting of the information from the City Of Splendors box set from earlier that year. The color picture was new to the MC but there is a black and white image of this version of the crown by Val V. in the box over a shadowy skull. VGTATM had another black and white with both the old an new versions of the crown. |

is the only place I see it, and I'm assuming that's your web page Eric????
It's my blog.
It's from the 2E Monstrous Compendium Annual Volume Four, specifically the Shadowrath entry. The artist is the outstanding Glen Angus (see the GA initial at the bottom?).

Posted - 31 Aug 2014 : 01:40:13 heh I came up with Glen Angus, but googling him didn't yield the pic so I thought it might be some other GA. His other work is pretty awesome too. |

It's not my webpage.
I googled "Crown of Horns" and "Myrkul" and it's one of the first one that comes up on images.
It's perfect, but I was wondering which artist did it. I figured if I could find the book it was printed in, I could figure it out.

Hmmm, I also bing'd it. I see these, one of which belongs to Markustay.... the other appears to be someone's campaign update in maybe Brazil???

I'd say hit up Markustay and ask him where he found it. |

Posted - 30 Aug 2014 : 21:45:59 Nope, never seen it before. Very neat image, though. Thanks for sharing! Even if I don't want to bring the Crown of Horns into my campaign, I might need to find some use for this. :) |
