Where can one find information on the giant eagles of evereska? Height, weight, lifespan, max. weight one can carry, the requirements of being a rider... ect. Every search engine pops up with the Leprechaun and Giant Eagle for character sheets (Not a big help...) |

You could still go for an eagle animal companion at some point... who knows, there might even be an option for a giant eagle... One never knows what kind of mood the DM might be in |

To Mumadar: Why would you think something like that? Yes, originally Kitira was to be an Avariel whose wings were damaged. The Giant Eagle was supposed to be her companion & supplement but I figured to play safe as an elf of one of the normal five races.  |

IIRC the main colour of an eagle would be 'wild' that is brownish, but I'd suggest reading some library-book or searching the internet further to find more about the colour.
You can bet they mean the eagles like we have them here, on earth, when they say 'smaller cousins'
I think your DM won't mind if you colour your giant eagle as an American Eagle

Training A giant EAGLE:
Training a giant eagle as an aerial mount requires a successful Handle Animal check (DC -24 for a young creature, or DC 29 for an adult) and that the creature be willing.
Giant_eagle -eggs are worth 2,500 gp apiece on the open market, while.chicks are worth 4,000 gp each.
Professional trainers charge 1,000 gp to rear or train a giant eagle, and riding one requires an exotic saddle. A giant eagle can fight while carrying a rider but the rider cannot also attack unless he or she succeeds at a Ride check (see Ride, page 72 in the Player's Handbook)
Carrying Capacity: A light load for.a.giant eagle-is up_to 300 pounds; a medium load 301-600 pounds; and a heavy load 601-900 pounds.
