As a long time fan of fantasy genre it was a pleasant surprise to hear that Brain Sanderson's latest novel ,Words of Radiance, managed to reach the coveted No.1 spot of the New York times bestseller list.

It shows that fantasy has become more popular than ever before and that other franchises ,such as our beloved realms, should really get their act together and strike while the iron is hot.
I would love to see the realms expand into new areas like TV and proper live action movies. Games of Thrones and LOTR show that it can be done.
But I know that is unlikely to happen, so at least let us have more books.

Yeah the first book did tend to meander but it really picked up towards the end and the second one has got rave reviews.
And of course it would be great to see a realms novel it the same spot.

Hmm, probably reason enough I should pick up this series again. It's just that I found most of the characters in the first installment, The Way of Kings, unlikable. Couldn't finish it in my first read.

Nonetheless, congratulations to Brandon and Tor US!

Now here's to wishing a Realms novel gets the same spot.
