What god do you think( good aligned) would have problems with undead, but still have to handle the reality , that some of their worshipers are still ghosts on the prime plane? |

Just a note, if you're looking for a "ghost" idea for some kind of heroic ghost.... consider Rashemen's telthors. They aren't undead. They are fey. However, they're created from the spirit of someone who died and they're incorporeal. Usually they're animals, BUT there are plenty of Rashemi telthors who were heroes. They are a unique bit of definitely realmsian cosmology.... and the questions they raise as to the nature of life and death, the gods, and the outer planes are a bit of a quandary. |

There are, no doubt, exception to this "Lathander hates undead" notion. Mirror is probably the best example. Though it wasn't revealed who his patron really was, his being a paladin of light almost certainly confirmed it's Lathander. He was undead by "accident," but still retained his paladin gifts (being able to summon light against undead) even though such were anathema to his own existence. So ultimately, faith supersedes nature of existence. |

I recall in Prayers from the Faithful, an Ilmateri paladin was tracking down a thief who later managed to overcome and slay him. That night, the paladin became a zombie and slew his killer, then threw himself on a bonfire.
Kelemvor is right (I always forget him :) ), as undeath is against death - but even his priests are not required to destroy good aligned undead and can control undead.
As far as I know Lathander has no particularly special beef against undead - its just that sunlight is anathema to so many undead so they have an upper hand there. In fact, the only major artifact of Lathander's faith I know of is the Dawnstone - which creates Juju zombies that serve the temple.

I don't think any gods are expressly anti-undead. However, for the most part intelligent undead and living controllers of mindless undead sway to the evil side of the spectrum, so many good aligned deities grant powers against them. That said, the nature of the ghost monster description makes it possible that any god could have it's follower's soul trapped on the prime as a ghost - only when vanquished would it be freed to attend them in the after life. |
