Now in 2e, we saw that Mystra could block other gods powers to followers by not letting them have access to the weave. In 3e we saw Mystra die, and 4e we saw magic move on past the precious weave, and gods giving powers and spells without mystra.

Do you think that if the gods keep not using Mystra system of magic, even if she does come back . Do you think that will make her slightly less important (therefore not as powerful) , as the gods of those that follow them have learned to tap magic without her unreliable life cycle.

I don't think she was able to block the divine use of magic...just the use of magic by the gods while on Toril (or in Realmspace). Cyric was able to use magic when she confronted him on Limbo. As to your question of her continued relevance and power, I don't know. It's likely, IMO anyway, that once the Weave is fully restored most will begin accessing it again (it's supposed to be easier). Also, I'm not entirely sure the Weave was completely destroyed and it may be that the Weave was still accessed...albeit with a more difficult process during the 4e era. We will have to see what happens as the year unfolds.
