is it unheard of, to see other indivuduals honoring racial things like garl glittergold, grummish , umm whoever the halflings worship, heck even the mother beholder has human clerics. |

One thing I couldnt understand is why some elves worship mystra when their race already has a god of magic. And why couldnt corellon seizes control of the weave after mystra died. He is a greater power like she was. |

The overlap of other races worshipping racial deities not their own would begin to cause conflict between pantheons, which according to Ao's strictures when the tablets of fate were around cannot be allowed. Now, one person crossing over wouldn't be the tipping point, but it could become such the more common it gets. For the racial pantheons, I don't see many people crossing over.... but for other races being lured to the Faerunian Pantheon.... its pretty common. Thus, it could be seen that some of what happened during the spellplague may have been because of Ao's strictures over portfolio control and too many members of a race drifting to Faerunian deities who have similar portfolios as a racial deity (such as Selune, Mask, etc...). This is why I would hope that after the sundering this stricture for portfolio control is lifted and the "stealing" of portfolios thereby becomes impossible (i.e. a deity may claim to have power over shadows/fire/wind/despotism/love/whatever and could possibly show such power to his followers, but it doesn't mean another deity couldn't ALSO have power over shadows/fire/wind/despotism/love/whatever). Basically, bring "deity worship" to the free market.... get rid of the "monopolies".... the deity that attracts more followers simply does better. |

In DragonLance, the gods represent their portfolios to every race, and sometimes they have different names or show themselves differently for diverse races or peoples, although the true gods are but a few.
I think I read somewhere that, at first, Ed's idea was similar, that is; Tempus would be the war god to all races, maybe showing up as we know him to humans, but appearing as a mighty dwarven warrior with a huge ax to his dwarven folowers, for example. Of course, some deities would have greater affinity to some races, like Tempus to dwarves or Milil and Mielikki to elves, for example. Later, however, the racial pantheons were adopted.
IIRC, though, I've seen somewhere (2e Draconomicon, maybe?) that some races venerate the human gods, and afterwards I've seen references of human worshippers of non-human gods. I cite here human archers who are followers of Solonor, goblinoid worshippers of Bane, and even dragon followers of Tyr.
Of course, since then there was this theory of Xymor maybe being just an aspect or a different name of Tyr, as he appears to dragons, just like canonized in 4e with Talos/Gruumsh and Sehanine/Selūne.

So it sort of makes a bunch of greater gods, are fragmented aspects they gain power from , with a few handful genuine small power gods ? |

Yeah, I think its more of an 'aspect thing' going on; that many more are worshiping 'racial' deities under other names then folks realize. |

Some dragons worship human deities, like that shadow/rock-breathing dragon who worships Shar and whose name escapes me at the moment.
Some foolish humans also worshiped Tchazzar before his demise. And then there is the Cult of the Dragon . . . |

Technically speaking, Gruumsh has quite a few human worshipers. They just call him Talos. |
