Just finished re-reading the Sword Never Sleeps. Has anyone heard if there has been mention of future Knights of Myth Drannor novels? I'd love to see them take on Shadowdale and claim the Twisted Tower! |

The knights books were published in 3rd edition 2000s BUT yes set pre-Time of Troubles. No reason Ed couldn't write a novel based in a prior period. I really only liked Swords of Eveningstar of the 3 books but would love to see them move on to Shadowdale.

Not every novel needs to be set in the 1480's. Especially when so much about the fate of certain characters and the events of the last 100+ years remain unknown. Let's hope we keep reading about the exploits of the Knights from where they left off!
I agree with Kris. I would like to see novels set in the past. Both the Golden Age (1-3rd ed era) and the far more distant past.
As for the Knights, weren't the books already set in the "past" when they were published? Why would they suddenly need to jump forward now? |

I'm perfectly content with reading 'past historical perspective' novels. After all, most of the short stories in the various 'Realms of X' series are set in the past are they not? They are certainly entertaining!
Not every novel needs to be set in the 1480's. Especially when so much about the fate of certain characters and the events of the last 100+ years remain unknown. Let's hope we keep reading about the exploits of the Knights from where they left off!
One last point, the KoMD (if I may use that shortened form, Lol) exploits are the based on the 'real' actions of Ed's home campaign. As such, I'd guess that hearing about what they did when they actually did it would be much more entertaining than creating 'fake adventures' with the same characters. Relating the antics of a group of independent decision makers gives you much more chaotic fun to write about than just deciding what all the characters do yourself (something Ed can do with any number of other characters). |

Yeah, if the Knights still exist in the current Realms, you probably wouldn't recognize any of them. I guess we'll see when the next crop of novels are set in the timeline. |

Dunno, with the time-advance to 4e most of the Knights would be dead now and I'm unaware of anything Ed may have done to 'keep them alive' in the interim. If they do make more novels it's likely they would have a 'past/historical' perspective. But who knows? I myself would like to see more tales of their exploits. |
