Posted - 22 Apr 2013 : 03:25:42 So I utterly do not want to be a level 20 Wizard /Warblade
I would like some ideas though on something that allows me the freedom to be something unusual and WTF , in a roleplay based game when I have this many levels to mess with. |

Posted - 22 Apr 2013 : 08:04:47 Hmmm roleplay is sandbox, so nothing set in stone, as much as everyone is wanna be blackstaffs in whatever way they choose, just two dual casting **aka Druid/Wizard**, so we are allowed to be strong, but not karsus strong.
I like some of the ideas being thrown about, right now am looking at maybe a
Wildshape Ranger/Master of many forms / warshaper // Bard
trying to haggle with my DM to allow my bard to have trapfinding lol |

• Factotum 20 // Fighter 20 (lots of ways to be useful and good in a Fight. Add in Skill Tricks and your golden.
• Marshal 20 // Warmage 20 (a good blaster with combat prowess and a penchant for issuing orders. Take Snake's Swiftness spell for Eclectic Learning [PH2] for granting allies extra attacks).
• Rogue 3/Sorcerer 17 // Swashbuclker 20 (it's simple, easy, and with Daring Outlaw feat [Complete Scoundrel], makes your Sneak Attacks amazing!).
• Hexblade 20 // Healer 20 (dish out the pain then heal them, lol).
• Duskblade 20 // Warlock 20 (the evil Bladesinger) |

Posted - 22 Apr 2013 : 04:58:01 Okay, non-optimized is coming.
At level 20 (both classes for the gestalt)...
Fighter 20 for one side. The other side I would highly recommend Bard or Illusionist. Dependent on your ability scores, you could play the "exiled Ronin Samurai" (I hate the Samurai class), or something that would be reasonably competent, but not the most powerful thing in existence.
Frankly, dependent on what ruleset you're using (I've seen Pathfinder and 3.x both refer to gestalt, but I'm not sure on 4e), it could affect your choices highly.
Heck, a Hexblade/Fighter combo could be fairly mean, and survive quite well, but not be considered optimized.
What is the context, other than higher Roleplaying areas? Where is the game set, what is the overall campaign goal? |

Posted - 22 Apr 2013 : 03:52:15 Context would help, you could be Bard 10/ Fighter 10 and use 20 levels.
There are many builds that can take 20 levels, however you clearly appear to have Wizard in mind at minimum. |
