Posted - 14 Sep 2012 : 21:56:10 Hi, I'm new to the forum. While I am not a FR follower, it happens that I have to read part of one of the novels out loud and I can't figure out how to pronounce "Finder." There are guides online, but they say, FIND-er, which is not clear, as it could be a short i, as in "ih" or a long one, as in sounds like "eye." Could you all help me? Is it a short or a long "i"? That is, does it rhyme with "hinder" as in to slow someone down, or "binder" as in the thing you put papers in?
Thank you so much! |

I like to throw in different pronunciations for things like this in my Realms.
Thus, I tend to shift between "FIND-er" and "FIN-der" when and where appropriate. |

Thank you so much! That's what I was guessing, but I figured best to go to the authorities on the subject. |
