I guess the title says it all. Here are the list of environments that I wonder would fit well with regions of Faerun or Toril, and my guesses as to where they could be.
Cold Forests: Probably areas like the Coldwood and Charwood near Neverwinter and Luskan.
Cold Aquatic: Most likely the Sea of Moving Ice as well as the northern portion of the Sea of Swords.
Cold Mountains: Spine of the World is probably the best example.
Cold Plains: Icewind Dale, maybe?
Cold Deserts: Icewind Dale could possibly fit more in this category, but I wonder if the Anauroch would work.
Cold Marshes: No idea.
Temperate Forests: The forests surrounding Cormyr and Neverwinter Wood, most likely.
Temperate Aquatic: Sea of Fallen Stars, perhaps?
Temperate Mountains: A number of mountains in most of Faerun could fit this, unless I'm mistaken.
Temperate Plains: I'd guess the Dalelands could work.
Temperate Marshes: The Trollmoors, or would that work more as a Cold Marsh?
Warm Forests: The Chondalwood and the jungles of Chult, I would guess.
Warm Aquatic: The sea/ocean around Calimsham, maybe?
Warm Mountains: The Smoking Mountains and/or the Marching Mountains, perhaps?
Warm Plains: I'm guessing the Shaar, for one.
Warm Marshes: Not sure. I'm guessing any wetlands around the Lake of Steam.
Warm Deserts: The Calimsham and the Plains of Purple Dust, obviously! |
