Hey guys I kno this might be an unusual question but its the best place for it. Has anyone ever played a Roleplaying game online thru a thread. Where its just like a narrative that goes together where everyone takes turns writing about a character they create and they intertwine the stories so it reads almost like a book. I use to do it years ago on Rasalvatore's msg board but they don't seem to do it there anymore.... just wondering.

That's usually how I run my email games. Every week I'd combine everyone's replies for the week into one master log file and either email it out or keep it as a log for reference.

People have played countless variations of D&D and other RPGs for years - tabletop, conventions, phone, mail, email, forums, and probably any other communication media in existence. You'll find any number of "D&D game journals" online, and can elect to participate in The Candlekeep Inn as much or as little as you desire. This Wikipedia article might serve as a good introduction.
