So I posted this in software but I know it's going to rot in their for eternity without getting a single response so I thought I'd post it here. I could've went somewhere else and asked but nobody really knows the realms as good as people here : )
What are some awesome PW's that are still heavily run today for both NWN 1 & 2?
I'm looking to get into one and don't really care which game it's for. Is there some sort of list that organizes them by players/popularity/etc?

Well, my application was denied which I never would have expected. I get the feeling I may not have wanted to be a part of this anyways ha.

My most beloved NWN PWs are unfortunately down :-( Namely they were "Untold Tales of Tolkien II" and "Hybrid LOTR/Aertheca". Though, it was a good time back in the days :-D |

it's for NWN2, they converted to NWN2 from NWN1 about a year or so after 2 came out
they have their own hak to download ... if you register and just post a thread asking for help they are really good about that |

Sounds awesome, however, after traversing the site for a bit I can't seem to figure out which expansions I need and if it matters if I play on a mac or not (i assume it wouldnt matter). I don't think I even noticed if it's for 1 or 2? I assume 2 though.

good stuff if you are a roleplayer, if you are wanting more of a MMO raiding experience i don't keep up with those

Why don't you just go online with both games and see which worlds get listed to you and how many players are playing currently in that world? Than you can look for more information to a specific world in the internet. Seems to be the fastest way for me.
On a side note, while I was still playing NWN1 online for years (which is a long long time ago) Forgotten Realms worlds were far in the minority and didn't belong to the best worlds. But there where some very good Lord of the Rings worlds. Don't know if that has changed over the years or if even a lot of players are still playing NWN... |
