I found a thread about Ched Nasad from 2003 or so, but I'm curious... Are there any books that have information about Ched Nasad that have been published since then? I've got Drizzt Do'Urden's Guide to the Underdark, the Menzoberranzan set, and Insurrection, but am I missing anything?

It is mentioned in the 4e book, too.

Eric Boyd - what ideas did you have for Ched Nasad that didn't make it into things you've written? (Can I ask that?)

You're absolutely right, there is an entry about the more recent events in Underdark. I completely forgot I had this book on my shelf.

Thanks for the replies! I guess I don't have any specific questions at the moment, but I am fascinated by what little is available about the city. *shrugs* I do that, sometimes.

Ched Nasad underwent significant alterations from what I wrote up in DDGttU during the War of the Spider Queen novels.

Well, aside from what little updates there might be in the 3e Underdark book (which was mostly a reprinting of DDGttU), I think that sums things up. Ched Nasad's always been in the shadow of Menzo; too close and too similar (unlike things like Sshamath) to get a lot of attention. I think Insurrection is the only novel that ever actually goes there, and I don't think there would be much other than vague notes in any other sourcebooks.

If you have specific questions, you might want to ask Ed, or some of the other scribes like Eric Boyd or Steven Schend. Not everything they came up with ended up in the sourcebooks, and they've been known to share when asked.
