Posted - 24 Dec 2003 : 16:31:34 I have heard that they releashed info on stats for the yuan-ti race in FR so you can now play them as PC's. Dose anyone know where I could find this info or have it so share?
Also which are on the ones that appear to be all snakes, with the humonoid upper half and lower half is a tale. ARe they the half-breeds, abmontions or true bloods? |

Posted - 25 Dec 2003 : 04:53:17 For what it's worth, as someone who likes the Yuan-Ti as foes for a party, Mongoose's Slayer guide on the Yuan-Ti was very well done with excellent artwork and writing.
FYI for anyone interested while waiting for WOTC to come out with more Yuan-Ti goodies next year. |

Posted - 24 Dec 2003 : 23:25:36 The Slayer's Guides and Encyclopedia Arcane: ????? Series are put out by Mongoose Publishing I believe. TSR don't put out anything anymore... (TSR don't put out.. Sorry couldn't resist). Anyways, WotC Stuff, while granted good and required usually they usually only dealing in Touch here then move on. They don't really get into anything deep. The Slayer's Guides expand on a race's culture (which explains why there isn't a Slayer's Guide to Humans to my knowledge. Humans have no culture that they haven't stolen) |

Posted - 24 Dec 2003 : 16:54:55 It does differ. If you're looking to play an abomination, halfblood, or trueblood, you'll need Savage Species. If you're looking to play a tainted one or broodguard, I suggest Races of Faerun(although Savage Species has the information needed).
This is assuming you're playing 3.0 D&D. If you're playing 2e, then I can't help you there. For 3.5, as I stated before, your core rulebooks will provide what you're looking for.
Next year's Serpent Kingdoms will likely also contain this information. |

Posted - 24 Dec 2003 : 16:46:34 That would indeed be the one I was looking at. Hmmmm....two seperate books for them? ARe they both the same info or dose it differ from the two socures? |

Posted - 24 Dec 2003 : 16:43:20 The info in question has appeared in Races of Faerun and Savage Species. If you have the 3.5 core rulebooks, those do the job too(although it will require some work).
I believe you are referring to the abomination, which appears as a large serpent but for its pair of humanoid arms. |
