Hello,

I'm looking for a prestige class that accents and improves 2 handed weapons (Greataxe Great Sword, Hlaberd etc) anyone aware of any, not been able to find any, or suggest something suitable?

Yeah, I figured Garagos was a likely idea. At the same time, I suggested in a thread of my own (http://forum.candlekeep.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=14906) that Cyric or Urdlen might be likely candidates. At this point, I might also say Gruumsh, for that matter. Loviatar I don't see as much because she focuses more on inflicting pain or enslavement rather than wanton destruction.

hey I forgot about the runescarred beserker.....

@bladewind,

I agree upon your sgeestions if you want to have a slightly balanced char.

But if you want to have a bad ass killer who can kill the whole bunch of the enemy before the others even get their first action, then the frenzied berserker is the obvious choice.

Thats a sacrifice I'm willing to make.

I must admit that Frenzied Berserker is almost unequaled in melee 2-handed combat. Even a buffed character of the same level can easily die in one full-round attack.

Of course, there is a slight possibility that you go berserk on your allies...

I would just use the Two-Handed Fighter archetype (i.e. kit in 2e) from the Pathfinder RPG: Advanced Player's Guide. Yay for everything from the PFRPG core being open content!

I can see Tamsar being careful about choosing the Frenzied Berserker PrC (Complete Warrior). It is a liabilty for any party to have a Frenzied Berserker partymember: if he can't reliably stop his frenzy he'll murder his own friends.

I think the Exotic Weaponmaster (CWa) is a good choice for a twohanded build, because of the excellent Flurry or Strikes ability. It requires wielding exotic weapons, though a dwarf or gnome could enter when they choose to focus on the urgosh or hooked hammer.

Also the Ravager (CWa) is kinda awesome, with its ability to inflict constitution damage with a melee strike. Requires evil and is kinda tied to the Greyhawk diety Erythnul. Garagos or Loviatar would make a good fit in the Realms.

The Divine Champion (Players Guide to Faerun) gives some minor benefits (better saves and a smite), but with the right deity and character goals can be very fun to roleplay.

The Miniature Handbook has this little gem, the PrC called the Tactical Soldier. Great teamplay oriented fighter. Do flanker, delayed cleave, sidestep and offensive strike sound good? They are!

In the same tome you'll find the War Hulk. You have to become Large somehow to enter this extremely badd-ass class. It essentially removes you're BAB progression and gives you increased strength each level instead. It gets great sweeping strikes with its melee weapons as well, allowing it to effect three squares of enemies with his weapon swings.

Dip one level of Barbarian. Then frenzied Berserker. You won't find better class for two-handing.
