I've got a few FR adventure modules that I want to write up in an attractive netbook format. Does anyone know where I can find and download the "parchment" style page background used in 3rd edition era Realms books? I see that it's (or something similar) been used at Candlekeep for the "So Saith Ed" pdfs.
Furthermore, does anyone have any suggestions on good sources of nice fonts? I've downloaded 'Dalelands' font from Candlekeep (although I haven't worked out how to access it from Word).
Are the ornate title fonts used in 3rd edition publications (with the crescent moon dot to the letter i) available for download?

As for fonts ... I assume Word means you're using Windows: Confirm that it's actually a valid font (double-click to open it; you'll see either a font sample or a Windows error). If Windows recognizes it as a valid font, just copy it into your /WINDOWS/FONTS folder; it will definitely be available to Word and all other apps after you restart. Try not to install tons and tons of fonts; each one consumes a tiny amount of memory and processing, too many will slow Windows to a frustrating crawl. |
