Posted - 02 Dec 2011 : 14:39:52 Since I am allowed this weekend to play a scond time in the Star Wars - The old Republic Beta and I usually take names of famous FR persons for my characters in other games I'm in need for a name for my two light saber figthing jedi knight.
Unfortunatly no fitting character in the realms comes to my mind and Drizzt is to bathetic in my mind... |

Posted - 03 Dec 2011 : 13:50:56 Hey, what happened to my post? I've always thought of characterrs in BG2 to be canon
Some dual wielders I know of: Drizzt Entreri's enemy fron RotP = That ranger dude who dual wields axes was badass...he beat Entreri in a head on fight Riven = spins his swords like a samurai Yoshimo = wields dual katanas Shield of the Innocence = an orog Paladin of Torm (a chaotic aligned race with lawful good alignment). He's from War in Tethyr Entreri = uses a sword and a dagger

Posted - 03 Dec 2011 : 13:16:09 Ryld did not dual wield from what I recall. He had a greatsword and a short sword, if I recall correctly. |

I believe that Montolio used a sword/shield. Even stated so himself when he and Drizzt first took up together and began Drizzt's training.
Ah well guess I was mistaken. Though I was sure that I had read somewhere that he used two swords and, after reading creyzi4zb12's post regarding Baldur's Gate II, I remembered where it was that I read it. If you have the expansion for Baldur's Gate II then you can find Montolio's Cloak and in its description it says "This is the fabled cloak of Montolio DeBrouchee - the aged, blind mentor of the dark elf ranger Drizzt Do'urden. Like his famous pupil, Montolio was a master at wielding two blades simultaneously."
I understand that the game is not canon but...well there's my justification for my answer. |

Posted - 03 Dec 2011 : 09:06:04 Does Yoshimo from Baldur's Gate 2 count? He's a "bounty hunter" who weilds dual katanas. |

Posted - 02 Dec 2011 : 20:02:50 Could you adapt an eastern character? I seem to think that you could make a case for a samurai to have the two-weapon fighting feat since there are historical RW accounts of them weilding a katana & wakizashi at the same time. Even in realmslore it makes reference to the ancestral daisho which contains a katana and wakizashi, and in some cases a tanto (seppuku knife).
Just speculating. |

Posted - 02 Dec 2011 : 17:18:09 Athrogate? he has dual wield morning stars.
Hmm...good aligned dual wielders aside from Drizzt characters are hard to find. |
