Does anyone know of an online data base of art someone could use to enhance their D&D sessions? Like showing a picture...so far i've been only finding like Baldur's Gate portraits = P

I can recommend a few on DA- Sylinde, Cyrza, or Mavrosh for drow and elves, KeelerLeah for fantasy in general and anything Drizzt, and Ironshod and BrassDragon for dragons, though Ironshod has some great elves there as well. Pookawitch has some fun portraits of various races, and RalphHorsley has some great official WotC work on there as well. There are even plenty of stock backgrounds and scenery photos and art if you need something for a scene, like castles, caverns, forests, and other fun places to adventure.

My friend just recommended Elfwood before I read this.
Also almost all of the images are are beautiful/scantily clad women which is not very useful imo :S

elfwood might work as well.

as for decent artists at DEviant art.. well there is a few I watch that have or had comissioned other deviants for their work..

so it would be hard to say which would be best.
my suggestion would be, look up whatever race you want and look through them for what not.

I have been liking a lot of art from "Magic the Gathering" card game. Does anyone know anything else like that I could look up?

Do you have some recommended artists?
Deviant art is really big :(

I'll second Cleric G's suggestion of browsing Deviant Art. I've used lots of pics from that site for both campaign/story ideas, as well as for wallpapers on my pc. Look under fantasy or D&D on their search bar, and you should find some good stuff. (The dragon and drow art especially, LOL!)

WotC has done some character portraits, in the past. Some were good, some were... meh.

I find Deviant Art is a pretty good source of pretty pictures. You will, however, need some free time and eye bleach to find the good bits. See also conceptart.org (the forum challenge section), but their backlog isn't too long.
