I beg to differ. We don't know Fflar's capabilities or his martial prowess. We know he was captain of Myth Drannor's armies (as LK points out) and I too feel his "level" would be somwhere around 17-20ish. We know that he favors using Keryvian (a highly magical sword) and would either use it with a two-handed style or probably a sword and shield style. Neither of which is greatly effective against Drizzt's twin-sword (aka Florentine) style.
-Based on The Last Mythal trilogy, I don't particularly recall him utilizing shields.

Also keep in mind that Drizzt is now a 21st level character and wields Taulmaril and has Guenhwyvar as a combat ally. Both of which, I feel, puts Drizzt at an advantage for certain situations. So I think that it would be a pretty good battle between the two, but I don't feel I can easily say one wins over the other completly. Either case, I don't see there being any fatalities on either side.
-I don't think it would be a clear route, no, but Fflar (who would presumably also have gained a few levels during the 104 year time increase like Drizzt (in addition to possible level increases during the heavy combat he saw during the Elven Crusade) edged out Drizzt, addition levels and Guenhwyvar included. And, no, I don't think either fighter would outright slay the other, either. |

Who do you think is the better fighter?
-Fflar.
-We don't have stats for him, but consider that he was the leader of Myth Drannor's armed forces- that's not a job for any old chump. I'd assume, based on the stats of his contemporaries in Myth Drannor's armed forces and spell forces, Captain Fflar probably between Level 17-20. Drizzt, by comparison, is Fighter 10/Ranger 5/Barbarian 1, for a total of 16 Levels. Captain Fflar also has access to much better equipment than Drizzt.

I think after the initial quick sparring the two would do, they'd come to an understanding that neither is an enemy. Would this flower into friendship? Who knows, elves are always quirky like that so I think it would take a very dangerous task where they relied on each other for survival to build that friendship, or at least respect.
But I do agree that seeing the two take on demons and other fearsome foes would make for an enjoyable, albiet, quick read. Something akin to a short story in a Realms Anthem like...."Unlikely Duos in the Realms" or some such.
And I believe that after Fflar was resurrected, he'd regain his exact age, vitality, and other elven traits that are the same when he perished. So if he passed at 127 years old, he be resurrected with the age of 127 and have X-amount of years left to live.

-Given what he did in Rich Baker's Last Mythal trilogy, this seems to be the case, in terms of age, ability, stats, etc. |
