Posted - 08 Apr 2011 : 06:25:28 I remember many of them didn't contradict canon, and were built out of many existing sources to give information on various relevant topics, some of the information being really hard to find via official sources, and spread out over a large number of books.
I know there have been many of them over the years. My harddrive crashed in january; and I'm looking to replace the ones that I used to have.
Any chance someone could put up some links to where they can be found? |

Posted - 11 Apr 2011 : 02:08:08 Same here. I'm sure several of the authors would enjoy doing something short for such a tome. (*cough* Elaine and Ed *cough*) "Realms of Music" would be a great addition to that line of books! |

Posted - 11 Apr 2011 : 02:03:03 Oooh! The perfect way for some of my musical Realmslore to become official canon.
I'd love to see it! |

Posted - 11 Apr 2011 : 01:51:47 No worries- I had a few days of no service here, so I've not had a chance to ask sooner. But since it's sort of related, I'll ask if anyone here would be interested in a "Music of the Realms" anthology? Short stories about some of the famous (and infamous or even not-so-famous) bards of the FR? It would be a great way to introduce some new characters or revisit old friends from the Realms. Danilo, Storm, etc, just to name a few. Anyone think WotC would go for it? |

And on THAT "note".... Sage, did you ever get my PM about the music project? I'd love to work with you on that, and have been toying with some ideas for song lyrics. Nothing definite yet, but they've been percolating through my head at work....
Just this past weekend, I have actually been dusting off a few of my old notebooks for this projects, and flicking through stuff I think might be useful. And I was also thinking of sending you some snippets for input. Though, I'll admit now that I must've forgotten to respond to your PM, Alystra. And for that, I'm sorry.
I'll look through my backlog and see if I can find it. |

when are we going to be able to post more stuff on the CK site???
So long as its clearly fan-based material, you're still able to submit material for inclusion at Candlekeep. Until we learn more about Wizards' Fan-Site Policy, that is.
You can simply contact either myself or Alaundo with details about what you'd like to submit. |

Wasnt there a compendium in the works last summer? What happened to that?
You're referring to the project Matt James was putting together?
I've not heard anything further about that, so you might want to ping him instead.

Posted - 08 Apr 2011 : 10:03:07 There's "Elves of Faerun", but I can't provide you the link right now. And "Ilythiir" comes from Snowblood's (phasai's) DeviantArt gallery. |
Sylrae |
Posted - 08 Apr 2011 : 09:23:18 I remember there was one on Elves in Faerun and one on the nation of Ilythiir. But I'm really interested in any and all of them, not just those two.
I was actually thinking just a compiled list of them with links would be a good thing to have, as there doesn't seem to be one now. |
