No novels etc. Anyway I was wondering if when he took control of Zallanora's body, he lost all the demilich abilities/bonuses, spell resistance etc. I'm guessing he did but hoping he didn't because if so he'd truly be almost unstoppable. |

Prefer, maybe not. But don't forget that some of them don't write FR fiction based on their preference, but on what WotC assigns them. Tam and Sammaster are not Richard's. The Shades are not Paul's. Khelben is not Steven's. But they wrote about them. |

This is certainly a good material for a novel. Why is it that WotC wastes a lot of incredible "established" characters, and tend to focus on creating new ones for the novels? Not that there's something wrong with creating new characters. But there are those only glimpsed in game materials (like this very character) that DO deserve longer exposure in books.
Even Drizzt and Cale were new characters, once. |

Besides, timejump has "retired" a lot of NPCs (insofar as we'll probably never hear from them again, except vicariously through their descendants), and WotC can't distill the Realms down to a concentrated handful of immortal Drizzt/chosen sorts who always get to do all the heroic/villainous stuff ... so a rotating new roster is required. I suspect established fans whine about their fave NPCs being retired, but would whine even more when they get portrayed "wrong". |

There was an excellent adventure from a guy called Bill Sweeney called Shoons Legacy (he did a couple of other fine adventures as well). A shame he did not continue.. Never heard of him again
Where can this adventure be found?

Yes, the elf lady is now the Demilich as far as I know. traped and going insane. I am guessing Shoon VII is now a mortal wizard again, but still extremely powerful.
I have no idea on the status of Necrosyquar Shoon VII post spellplague though. There are many NPC's that only have cursory information because they are intended for you to flesh out as gamers rather than to be used solely in novels. |
