Hi Folks,
I'm slowly getting back into the Forgotten Realms (my fave of all the D&D worlds). My last play exposure was in the twilight days of 3.5 D&D. So this HUUUUUGE jump in years and Dales Reckoning has me a little perplexed.
Would any of you have any good web site or document references that help me see the final chronological list of years of 3.5 D&D .... plus the timeline jump to 4.0 D&D for the FRCS?
I'm hoping any such reference also has the year dedication listings ("Year of the Golden Orbs"), etc.

I would add this timeline to the Loremaster wiki. It's easier for me to work with. Either way, good stuff! |

Ack! I like the Eizzn site, but it's missing anything I've designed for 4e Realms.
hmmm... I might need to add this to my "To-Do" list. Soon, that list will be novel length ;) |

Wow ... that dnd.eizzn.com website ... pretty much has the best and most thorough pre-and-post F.R. Spellplague chronology/timeline information anywhere on the net. And that includes WotC resources too. I hope the authors continue to update it! A terrific database and worth the perusal of all of you! |

Well, it's been about 9 months since I first posted this thread ... and received a bunch of helpful and informative replies (see above).
I'm resurrecting the thread as I've rekindled my interest in trying to accumulate a "Master Forgotten Realms Timeline" that includes all the 4E material and novel date assignment.
Again, if any of you have any insight on some new material posted either by WotC or a credible internet source for such chronological referencing, I'd love to see it! And I'm sure others would as well.

Well, I did write up the code so that my personal copy of the Forgotten Realms Calendar tool has all the entries from the Grand History listed, but copyright prevents me from publishing it on the 'net.
Well, that's not entirely true. Actually, if you go to here, you can download the JavaScript files. If you save them into your local Calendar directory, the historical.js will bring up the Grand History entries, the personal.js will bring up a list of the Holidays of the year and the year.js brings up the Roll of Years. To access them, just run the Calendar tool as normal, then click on the Notes buttons: Historical, Personal and Year. |

Here is the compiled Addendum I put together from Brian's twitter posts from a few years back. They are the only "official" updates to the Grand History (which I recommend to everyone to buy a copy of). Unfortunately, the updates from sourcebooks and novels released in 4th Edition have not been compiled. |

For legal reasons, the PDF version of Brian James' The Grand History of the Realms has been removed from most download sites. It was an initiative prosecuted just before the release of the WotC published version in 2007. |

I'm not sure that Brian James' magnum opus "Grand History of the Realms" still exists out there in internet land.
The product "Grand History of the Realms" isn't in electronic format - although in a perfect world we would have included a CD with a searchable PDF when it was published (noting of course that the reason that didn't occur was that it would have likely impacted on the sales of physical units as people disseminated the content of the CD).
Anyone out there who knows where such a beast exists on the net? My own version isn't up to date.
