Was there a change to the site - I notice a few topic headers now missing?

Dunno, but I've noticed the server has been running awfully slow recently.

Yup, I’ve personally had almost 20 timeouts to various posts over the last three days. A timeout also doesn’t increase your post count (not serious) or show as a recently updated scroll (more serious) either it seems.

PMs on the other hand, and editing posts have not timed out for me though.

yeah, I've been having tons of these problems too.

Myself as well... let's see if this one posts properly...
[edit]Yep, worked fine. As an aside, I've never had a problem with timeouts while editing a post or sending a PM either. Curious... [/edit]

Ah. I've heard of other scribes experiencing similar problems in the past. We always determined that it had something more to do with their own browser, than it did Candlekeep itself.

And I've noticed that the threads are falling behind their page-counts again, and I have to sometimes repost a couple of times. Me thinks its time to let the giant-killer hamsters loose on the Gremlins again.
Alaundo's the only one with the key for the cage of the giant-killer hamsters. I'll have to remind him.

EDIT: Oh... and while you've got your sleeves rolled up and are tinkering with CK's 'guts', maybe you can remember to update my Avatar, hmmmm?
I'll try and get to that today.

Besides, its about time for you change yours as well, isn't it?

Oh, that's just grand. I might just end up using this. Thanks Markus.

The private ones.

I think that might be even more mythical than many of Sage's projects.

Yeah, I won't hold my breath

Candlekeep has occasionally had timeout problems for as long as I can remember. One way of getting a thread to recognize that you've posted to it (though I'm not sure about post counts; I hadn't noticed that before) is to go in and edit your post after the timeout. You don't have to change anything, the very act of saving it again will make it show up.

Thats good to know, because I have this problem more often than not.

EDIT: Ugh, like right now

EDIT2: Well, editing the post has not increased my post count, but it did show up as an updated scroll.

I did too. For most of the week. Not right now.

Might be time to re-align the forum registry tables again, thinks I.
