Are there many people here at candlekeep who work on the wiki at all? it seems like many of the things on that wiki are not very filled in. I know I check there before I ask questions here, because it can be useful for information.

Maybe candlekeep could get a bit more involved with that.

I know much of it is written in the 4e parlance, but maybe we could get them to be edition neutral, and write a spin off article in different eras, that details a topic in another time with information relevent to that time. it could be an invaluable resource if done right.

Also many of the pages have the old time period's info still if you look at the page from august 2008.

Actually, Josh, I think they're discussing the current FR Wiki

The sections on Cormyr pre and during 4E needs some work. It is missing many towns.

I do have a question though, many of the links/articles to certain town's and cities are very flimsy (stubs), How much of the information from different sources can you put into a wiki article? I know you can't just put huge sections in there, but how much can you put in? I know it won't make a difference when you have a city that has sections in many articles, but if it is a smaller city, that only has 1 source, How do you balance putting in good information, without basically putting the entire article in there. I hope someone answers my questions. Once these questions are answered, I plan on digging into the FR wiki, at least the parts with Cormyr.

I haven't really worked on the FR wiki*, but vaguely recall the FR wiki containing some scraps of material that I wrote years ago for Wikipedia.

*but proving that it's a very small world, I did remove a picture from the wiki because it was illustrating the wrong monster. It was on the FR wiki as a picture of a baernaloth, except it was using a picture of an astradaemon (which is a creature that I created for Pathfinder).

That would be the best use of clones for sure

Let's hope nothing goes wrong like with Manshoon

Same here. Also, keep in mind that not every bit of info is canon and I found some minor errors.

Aye, i've found both minor and major errors. When browsing wiki's, be sure to take the proverbial grain of salt with you. Or a handful. Most of it is canon and 'legit', but some of it is not.

It should be moderated by Ed Greenwood, with any additions to the wiki requiring his approval first lol

I agree, it is missing large pieces of info. Still it is a great source.

That didn't work out too well for Donna. I suggest you just find your fob watch and remember that you are a Time Lord.
Great. Now all I have to do is find a Chameleon Arch. Vangerdahast can pass for Professor Yana, right?

I'd opt for two companions, because that's just the kind of Time Lord I would be.

Oh, come on, Sage - you have plenty of time. It just happens to be in "Sage Reckoning" (slightly out of sync with this universe, but I'm sure it's the speediest in some other universe)

true, but any of the articles that have been updated all use 4e terminology, which I know would cheese many people off here, that was all I was saying.

Alot is still 3.0/3.5. Those that start out as 4th edition such as classes, have the 3.5 info on the bottom. It has both editions.

Even some of the lesser npcs and info from second edition is there.

I've done some minor spelling corrections, and made two whole pages. One that was completly redone.

I'm the one that started Red Tiger Tribe, and uh, that shade chiok. From Waterdeep. Cause I like the art and had a crush on her.

Dracons: Biggest loser in the universe.

But mainly I was wondering who here works on that wiki and if anyone had any interest in filling in the blanks a bit,

FR Wiki is quite a good source of info from all eras of Forgotten Realms.
