Posted - 06 May 2010 : 12:41:28 How do sorcrers acquire new spells? Wizards copy them into spellbooks, but what do sorcerers do? For example: a sorceress wants to learn Magis Missle. What should she do?
Forgotten realms wiki says: Fortunate sorcerers might come under the tutelage of a more experienced arcanist.
What kind of tutelage do sorcerers need? How long do they study? As long as wizards? What is the cost of education for sorcerers? Is it cheap or expensive? Especially in comparison to wizards?

One of the main characters is a sorcerer, and there's a seen that details his 'learning' spider walk. Basically, it's a kind of 'flash of insight' where he observes a spider in the forest and the components of the needed spell kind of 'click' in his head. |
