The Origins Awards finalists have been announced and the Realms is represented in the RPG supplement category by the Forgotten Realms Campaign Guide, by Bruce Cordell, Ed Greenwood, and Chris Sims.

In the fiction category, the Realms are represented by Worlds of Dungeons & Dragons, vol. 2, from Devil's Due, and R.A. Salvatore's The Pirate King. You're all familiar with the latest Drizzt novel, no doubt. The Worlds of D&D trade contains some old school Realms through Jeff Grubb's adaptation of "Elminster at the Magefair." It also includes scripts by Realms-familiar folks such as Stan! and me. I also penned an intro for the trade that touches on the old DC Realms comics, as well as my work as an editor on the new Worlds of D&D series.

You can vote on the awards at the Origins Game Fair this summer.

Cheers,
Jim Lowder

Totally agree! Paul has pushed the FR novels to a higer level with his trilogies!

And hands down at that.

I don't know if WotC or Paul submitted his latest for consideration.

Congratulations to all the creators and designers involved! Good luck Ed, Bruce, and Chris with the FRCG, but as ever, the nomination itself is a big honor!
