Guys i just realized the cover of my copy is different from the one we have at Tethotil's Bookshelf. It has someone riding a black dragon (crunch,crunch) instead of Drizzt (flashy).
Just curious

I believe the image here was an earlier image, originally released as a placeholder.

Edit: As Ashe said. This is what I get for doing too many things at once.

The Drizzt cover was a 'placeholder' image that WotC used until the final artwork was complete and the book released. As far as I know, the Drizzt cover was never released.
