Would any "dead" god qualify for being a vestige? |

Posted - 27 Sep 2008 : 10:47:06 It's a heck of a lot better buy than most WotC books of the past few years, and you don't need Tome 3.$ to use it; it can be used instead of that for pact magic.

Posted - 26 Sep 2008 : 17:03:52 That looks like a good read... unfortunately, my budget is a bit tight right now. All I can afford is $free, and that's stretching me to my limits.
...but I'll keep that site bookmarked for when I have a little gold to spare. |

Posted - 26 Sep 2008 : 00:05:11 Look for the thread entitled "For Fans of Pact Magic." It is about a marvelous book entitled Secrets of Pact Magic. While not Realms-specific, it offers over 100 vestiges, many of which are readily adaptable to the Realms just by changing a few facts in their backstories. Its rules for forming pacts are superior to anything which Wizards has offered.
There was also an article on vestiges in Dragon a year or two ago which featured Karsus(!) as a vestige. Personally I think that it's a bad idea to use "the God of a Moment" that way, but that is my personal opinion; I prefer to have Karsus as a great, ominous shadow from the past.

Posted - 25 Sep 2008 : 23:02:32 Well, I found info for making some of the existing ones in the Tome of Magic fit better in the Realms, plus one new one Realms-specific vestige... and three other non-Realms vestiges, but that was it there unless I am missing something. |
