I thought that I had seen it here, but I was in error, for the "Search" function does not reveal the sad news which I bear. Thus reduced to being the bearer of sad tidings, I report simply to those who had not already heard: Bob Bledsaw, founder of the Judges Guild*, died on April 19th. More details I have not.

*For the benefit of the unfamiliar, Judges Guild published the very first campaign setting for D&D, written by Dave Arneson. It publication predated even Greyhawk for OD&D.

I don't know much at all about this guy, but this type of news is always sad.

I just came across some of my Old Judge's Guild stuff in a box yesterday... how prophetic.

I loved my JG stuff back in the day, and my DM used the setting for our campaign... many a fond memory there.

he will be missed - I hope he and Gary started up a group and are enjoying a game of OD&D in Heaven right now.

Sad true, but on the other hand, they're all probably sittin around a table rollin some dice and thinking "well, at least we don't have to worry about the garbage the new guys are gonna be dealin with".

Mournful news indeed. It seems a number of the founders of the pen and paper RPGs have passed recently. He, among others will certainly be missed.
