Which nations in Faerun does have the greatest military might and if is it was a World War what would the factions be? My leaders would be Thay for Axis and Evermeet for Allies. Also what are the army sizes for Faerunian Nations and the level of the soldiers? My impression is that Thay would have a much larger army but at a lower level (100 000 units). Evermeet then would have high level (lvl 5 and higher) units that are specialized but greatly outnumbered (20 000 units).

Yeah, but they didn't really hold their territory. They just ran thru and moved on. A traditional take-and-hold type of war is a whole different mess.

Is it OK if my answer to this thread is, "No, just no"?

World War is a logisitical nightmare in the real world... It would be nearly impossible in the Realms.

I recall a scroll comparing the various armies of the Realms. You might want to perform a search.

There are very few professional armies in Faerun, IIRC. The Purple Dragons immediately stand out as an exception to this rule though...
