Posted - 10 Jun 2008 : 09:50:26 Which nations in Faerun does have the greatest military might and if is it was a World War what would the factions be? My leaders would be Thay for Axis and Evermeet for Allies. Also what are the army sizes for Faerunian Nations and the level of the soldiers? My impression is that Thay would have a much larger army but at a lower level (100 000 units). Evermeet then would have high level (lvl 5 and higher) units that are specialized but greatly outnumbered (20 000 units). |

Might I point out, that there was sort of a world war with the Tugian Invasion. And Cormyr was the nation that cobbled together an army from other nations and mercenary groups (including orcs from Zhentil Keep) to hold off the invasion. The Tugians conquered quite a bit of the world too before their defeat by King Azoun IV.
Yeah, but they didn't really hold their territory. They just ran thru and moved on. A traditional take-and-hold type of war is a whole different mess. |

Posted - 10 Jun 2008 : 14:58:00 World War is a logisitical nightmare in the real world... It would be nearly impossible in the Realms. |
