Okay, I KNOW I've read or heard about this somewhere (Oghmans loving boxing), and I've got a character who is becoming Oghman to study under the Oghmans. ANY info on this at all is welcome. Please drop any bits of knowledge on this in here, please. :) |

Agreed, I distinctly recall Oghma loving wrestling (not just from the Cleric Quintet, either). Needless to say, that's not quite the same as boxing.
That doesn't mean you can't make an Oghmanyte boxer, though! |

In the Cleric Quintet Oghmans love wrestling (as evidenced by Danica having to beat the Oghman clerics to learn the location of sacred texts she was looking for). This would come from the real world Druidic lore where the druidic god the Dagda (also known as Ogma/Oghma, for which the tree alphabet ogham is named).
So i can understand an Oghman's love of wrestling, but not of boxing. |

I believe the common reference I've heard of is that the topic was mentioned in one the books covering the Time of Troubles, though I can't remember which one. |
