I was wondering if anyone had any speculation regarding Elminster Aumar and the Nether Scrolls.
In addition to speculation, does anyone have any canon support for Elminster studying the Nether Scrolls?

I'd suspect that Elminster might've had some access to the Golden Grove (made from Nether Scrolls) at which elven High Mages study. He may also have certain arrangements with, say, the Morueme clan of blue dragons who own/guard some Nether Scrolls. In fact, Mystra might've "cheated" and created new copies of some scrolls just for Elminster to enjoy, much as she has apparently done for Larloch. I'm just speculating. |
