Revered and Most Wise One,

It may just be my tired old eyes, but can I please ask that some kind of a ruling be made on the size/content of signature blocks?

It's getting to the point where you can't see the text of some people's posts because the signature blocks are so big and bright. Big signature blocks (especially some of the new ones) also slow the forum down for 56k users

Not wanting to be a pain or anything but if everyone was limited to a single quote, set their signature block font slightly smaller that the main body and stuck to a single colour (eg Teal), things would be much more readable.

Alright, call me self centered if you wish, but, truth be told, I never thought that a post's color would bother anyone. in the inn, i had always used that blue in my posts, becauseI felt that is would work for my character. When i start posting there again, do you think i should change it back to black?? the same goes for my signature.

Many thanks, Alaundo

Brankamuffin, no problem. I believe we should each do anything that we can do to make the other users' time here more enjoyable. You don't like blue text, it's black.

kahonen, I wasn't asking you to change the color of your posts, I was just pointing out that a color one person finds acceptable, another finds hard on the eyes. The best solution is for those of us who find various colors hard to read to just deal with it, in my opinion.

However, thank you for changing it.

Well Met

Indeed kahonen, I had noticed a certain over-sized signature appear lately for one and wondered how long it would take for a complaint to arise.

That said, I believe a rule for signatures and post formatting is required.

Please keep all signatures to standard font size and to a single small quote or link (in addition to your name\title of course). Text colors are fine, whatever you desire. However, please refrain from using gaudy colors for actual post texts. While im sure you all like your individuality, some colors cause viewing problems to other scribes. On another note, individuality can come from your own custom avatar

Luckily, signatures are dynamic, therefore changing your signature now will change the signature in all your previous posts. Now off you go, get them changed

As for color, Kahonen, I find the blue you use in your post body hard on my eyes.

Point taken. Consider it changed

As for color, Kahonen, I find the blue you use in your post body hard on my eyes. My two tin pieces would have to be that the admins either leave color selection as is, for posts and sigs, or allow nothing but black. In fact, hard-to-read colors in sigs don't bother me at all because I don't read sigs.
