Ssshhhhh I won't say anything if ye don't

The server must have had a short outage. I'll check the status reports (although it doesn't appear to have been significant to warrant much attention, i'd expect).

I've received some of the script time out messages myself, within the last few minutes. I just had to delete two posts that were duplicates, because of it.
The Sage Posted - 30 Aug 2006 : 15:52:19
Hmmm... I haven't received any error messages. And I was reloading the forum several times over the last ten or so minutes.

Strange.

Well met

Ouch indeed. In fact, not long after ye posted this, it appears that the forum went down.

The DSN's on the server had been lost and thus connectivity to the forum was lost. This has now been rectified and I am requesting information from the web host (who will likely deny that there was ever an issue).

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Hey in all the years i've been here, Candlekeep has had it's share of problems and errors.... but the walls are still standing! Long live Candlekeep! Hail to the scribes

Well met

Going from past experiences of web hosts, I wouldn't put anything past them, Kajehase

Actually the forum and the website both went down today for many hrs.
Wooly Rupert Posted - 26 Jul 2006 : 23:37:17
I was seeing a couple of those errors over the last hour, myself. Before that, I couldn't get to the site at all. I've not had a Candlekeep fix for almost 12 hours!

Ouch! Today, I receive this message of error:

**********************************************************************
Active Server Pages error 'ASP 0113'

Script timed out

/forum/post_info.asp

The maximum amount of time for a script to execute was exceeded. You can change this limit by specifying a new value for the property Server.ScriptTimeout or by changing the value in the IIS administration tools.
**********************************************************************

...and, some time after, I received this:

**********************************************************************Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e4d'

[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Too many client tasks.

/forum/inc_header.asp, line 134

Extraordinary! It appears as though ye all got this error within a couple of hours. I'll check the code to see what this points to.

If this problem occurs again, please email me.

The Sage Posted - 26 Jul 2006 : 01:16:28
Oh, no. This one has nothing to do with my behind-the-scenes Candlekeep tinkering.

Though, a quick scan of a report from the server tells me this might be a problem on the server's end itself.
Wooly Rupert Posted - 25 Jul 2006 : 17:31:48
Sage, did the little one open the gremlins' cage again?
Chosen of Moradin Posted - 25 Jul 2006 : 15:21:25
The mephits stay wild again!!
The Sage Posted - 25 Jul 2006 : 15:17:16
Indeed.

I've gone ahead a deleted a lot of the double (and sometimes triple) posts, but other mods might want to go keep an eye out for any more that occur and remove them accordingly.
Chosen of Moradin Posted - 25 Jul 2006 : 15:12:24
And the post goes ok, but tne counting of posts stay static, even after 3 posts!
Chosen of Moradin Posted - 25 Jul 2006 : 15:11:06
The same thing happen with me.
