I was reading another thread elsewhere on the site - and brief mention was made to a 3rd party d20 supplement that was recomended as being very good.
What I was wondering was - where would be the most appropriate location to discuss this and other 3rd party d20 products here - especially as to how people have used them in conjunction with the FR.
I personally have had a long history of seeking out good (in my opinion I guess!) 3rd party information for possible ideas - or direct use in my games - going all the way back to some of the earliest Judges Guild material.
I had the impression that the 'core d&d' forum was more for WOTC products, not 3rd party d20 items - though that is of course conjecture on my part. :)
Thanks!

So long as you're exploring the 3rd party tome in question with regard to how it can be employed within the FR setting, there isn't any reason why you can't open a scroll in either General Forgotten Realms Chat or the Running the Realms section.
Just keep it tied to the Realms, and you shouldn't have a problem .

The D&D Core Products section is mainly for discussions based around d20/D&D accessories by WotC that don't immediately relate to FR -- you'll note however that with a quick search through the archives for that particular section... several 3rd party tomes have on occasion been discussed as well. It depends mainly on the tome's content. If it can relate well with the Realms, or D&D in general -- like my mention of d20 Faeries by Bastion Press, then it's applicable. If however you want to discuss the finer points of soulmech construction from the futuristic Dragonstar setting, then it's really not an appropriate forum section (or message boards for that matter) for such a scroll.
I hope that helps .
