Indeed! But that's only because I had no electricity, which made firing up Artemis (my computer) a bit of a tricky proposition... |

Hmmm, upon further investigation, I have noticed that the ISP to which Candlekeep is connected, are resetting the IP address periodically (at least once a day!) which would cause problems, certainly with timeouts on the forum whilst the new IP is allocated and the server address refreshed.
This is likely due to the bandwidth increase, I will keep ye informed. |

Posted - 06 Sep 2004 : 11:10:11 Mine seems kinda slow to load up pages. Maybe that's because I'm still on dial-up. Although there was this one time a few months back where it took me three goes to post a message. Was really frustrated coz I had to type the same message 3 times to get it posted!!! |

Posted - 06 Sep 2004 : 03:02:06 I've had a problem with that screen after I try to put up a post where, instead of saying "your post has been posted successfully" it sits there for a few minutes, thinking, then it comes up with another screen, something about timing out or somesuch, yet, if I hit back a couple times, and refresh the thread, my post is up... So, althought it's telling me there is a problem, it's still posting.. If it occurs again Alaundo, I will save the link and mail it to you. As for speed, I've occassionally had it lag for a minute or so, but not very often, for the most part, it runs as smoothly as ever.

Posted - 05 Sep 2004 : 21:15:38 Has a few problems with pop up blocking when I open the forums or preview a post, very slow 1 minute then back to normal broadband speed. Alaundo have you still not found those Gremlins What do we pay you for. AAAAAAAAGH when I previewed this post I had enough time to read 2 chapters of Dangerous Games. Help the slowness is driving me mad, and I had to disable my pop up stopper to even preview..... |

Posted - 05 Sep 2004 : 21:15:12 Well, not any problems with speed here, though I have been logged out, and could not log in this morning. Finally, I switched a browser, and I got in... so no real problems here. |

No. A couple of times the past few days, I've had it moving very slow. But, I was always able to access the forums. |

Posted - 05 Sep 2004 : 16:11:46 No problem for me although I had been logged out for some reason and had to log back in. My clunky old machine still seems to be accessing the hallowed halls of Candlekeep wityhout difficulty.

Hmmmmm, most odd. There are certainly no set restrictions on the server load. If anyone encounters such error messages on this matter then please save the page and send it over to me and i'll investigate further.
One change that is taking place, however, is that the bandwidth allowance is being increased by 50%..... any problems MAY be down the the connection upgrade being performed by the greater powers. Hopefully, it should settle down soon, if that is indeed what may be causing any fluctuations. |

Posted - 05 Sep 2004 : 11:06:07 I haven't had any problem, aside from extreme slowness, but that's always been the case for me. (I'm on broadband, you understand. Other sites load within a few seconds pat; Candlekeep takes an eternity to load for me.) |
