::cringes at this:: I don't know- when I first set up an account here at Candlekeep, I just mainly watched what others post, to get a feel of what was going on....I'm more for the idea of seeing how long a member has fron not logging on, not from posting. A lot of my friends act the same way on forums, an they are excellent roleplayers- if you count how long a person doesn't post, you may lose some good people, you know??

I agree -- we shouldn't penalize people who visit often. After all, in a real library members aren't expected to contribute to the stock! Besides -- now that the Inn's open, there are posters who aren't registered as making a post, because they created that character for the Inn itself.

However, I wouldn't mind it if members who haven't logged on in a certain amount of time were deleted. Especially if they never made a post.

Does it really matter? If they dont post who cares?

Just there presence makes the forums seem more popular and pushes the members list up.

Accounts should only be deleted for breaking the forum rules.

Well Met

We havent set a specific period to expire unused members. Some members may wish to have a member name but not actually post anything. While the Active Topics function does work with visitors not signing in and just becoming a Guest, it is not transferable between different locations as the system cannot keep track of guests moving IP addresses.

Maybe we will perform some kind of member purging at a later date but for now we will let them sit back and watch

Yes, I know. I think that member names should be deleted if they go for three months without posting a new message.
