Well we've now heard from Sage and Lady K....which we wish all the best, but Bookwyrm is still absent... any news from the Master of Realmslore?
He's around, AFAIK.(Actually, he's idling on MSN right now.)

Anyone know what's become of The Sage
In an email to me this morning, The Sage passed along the fact that he is currently dealing with a personal matter. He wishes he could be here, but his absence is unavoidable.
I'm sure I join everyone in wishing him the best while he's away. I'm sure with some patience we will see him, and the others soon.
Sirius
So that's what happened to him. Send him my regards and well wishes. |

I did not intend to quote Agent Smith, but next time I will be sure to inform other's of where the quotes come from. Thank you Ezindir for pointing that out to me. My appologies. As far as humans being a disease/virus, they are more like a virus. They spread and you can not be rid of them, unless they catch a viral infection themselves. |

Can do. He said he'd try to stop by, but I think everyone will understand if that does not come to pass. |

Posted - 09 Sep 2004 : 13:42:28 I think Woody has it right there Karesch. Bookwyrm does live in the states. Not that he wouldn't be welcome in australia if he decided to uproot and relocate. |
Wood Elf Ranger |
Posted - 09 Sep 2004 : 11:45:25 Where did you think that was implied Karesch? I thought I made it clear he wasn't in Aussie with the others but I guess not He was the main one I was saying would most likely be going back to school since he lives here in the states |
Karesch |
Posted - 09 Sep 2004 : 03:57:17 on a side note, I don't believe Bookwyrm lives in Australia... mayhap I'm mistake, but that seems an implication here..?? But yeah, Bookwyrm lives in the States.

Na' worries, Mate. ;) (I know that, and several other Aussie phrases. All spoken with the generic US Accent, of course )
If Lady K is still visiting the Grand Sage of Perth, I'd be more surprised if they were here!
Around these parts, late August is slow, and then Labor Day sucks up more time... hopefully, everyone will be back, rested, around mid-month. |
Karesch |
Posted - 08 Sep 2004 : 04:42:49 I know Bookwyrm was on a trip, I believe he's since returned. I've not heard from him in awhile, so I would guess that he is just busy currently. I imagine he'll return soon.

Almost.... The Aussie school year is March - November; which is logical when you realize that JUNE is a WINTER month there (I was never used to it, not even when I left...) September always seemed busy when I was there, though - approaching end-of-year, dealing with Internationals, and so forth. |

In fact, I dont believe Lady K has returned since her journey with the Sage some time ago. Did she in fact return with him at all? |

Posted - 08 Aug 2004 : 03:28:36 Glad too see you're still around Cardinal. I don't know if William of Waterdeep will ever visit us as last I heard he had some major life changes. What a bummer. (A sad/crying emoticon would really come in handy here Alaundo) |

Posted - 04 Aug 2004 : 23:35:05 I remember from last year at Candlekeep that these few summer months tend to be a little quieter than other months due to people being away from school or wherever and therefore not having access to the internet, and also due to it being holiday season.
Im sure theyll all return soon |
Sarelle |
Posted - 04 Aug 2004 : 12:59:52 Haven't seen him since the site went down, but Deimos is still around - lurking mainly in the Inn and the Welcome forums. I believe Cult_Leader disappeared before I came here. |

Posted - 04 Aug 2004 : 12:28:57 I haven't seen Cult_Leader or Cardinal Deimos around these halls for some time. Anyone know where they've disappeared to? |

Posted - 30 Jan 2004 : 07:39:04 Actually, going back to talking about missing scribes...
I haven't heard that much from Mr George Krashos (even though we live very close to each other in the same country). Has anyone else heard anything...?

Bookwyrm |
Posted - 29 Jan 2004 : 22:43:44 Maybe that's what William did. |

Posted - 29 Jan 2004 : 09:19:20 You're not alone Bookwyrm. We've all felt like that at some point. Some moreso than others...

Posted - 28 Jan 2004 : 05:49:28 Well, I'm glad I wasn't the only one having that thought; though I'm not as experienced in X-History for me to have an opinion on that graphic novel.
As for tackiness . . . well, just because we know better doesn't mean that all someone else would see would be dollar signs. (Or the currency symbol of your choice.) After all, a lot of the country I'm in thinks that Sunday's special for some reason. Mostly for an over-hyped game of an over-hyped sport, whose commercials go for millions of dollars per second . . . .
Makes me want to move to the Realms. But then, a lot of things do. |

Hmm...for a second there, I thought both Lina and Roewyn might be followers of En Sabah Nuhr...the Highlord Apocalypse. But then I remembered that this is the Realms, and ancient mutants born at the dawn of civilisation just doesn't sit right in a fantasy setting...
Actually, the flashback that was shown at the end of the X-Men: Evolution cartoon series (in my opinion the best version of X-Men ever made) rather reminded me of Mulhorand. Of coures, Mulhorand's history reads like the last large encounter with Earth that Toril ever had, and anyway, it's obviously Egyptian. But the point is, when I was watching that, I was thinking that you'd only need very little work to change that to a Realms legend . . . .
Not that I'm suggesting a Realms/X-Men crossover. Now that's tacky.
Hmm...I remember thinking something similar at the time. Anyway, I was actually talking about the Rise of Apocalypse graphic novel that chronicled the Highlord's early days in Ancient Egypt 5,000 years ago...His rise from slave to near- demi-god status...

I remember an advertisement from several years ago for a crossover comic featuring The Punisher and...Archie Comics! I don't think anything is too tacky for Marvel (or WOTC, if they think they could make money off it).
I suppose we shouldn't be discussing this in Candlekeep, but in my defense I have just returned from a journey into the Far Realm and am therefore incapable of understanding the rules of this reality. |
