Posted - 02 Jun 2012 : 07:24:37 That is, how do I write a link to a specific post in the middle of a thread?
Every now and then I have the need to link to something found here on Candlekeep, but whatever it is I'm linking too is buried twenty pages in on a large thread.
Is there a way to link to specific posts in a thread? |

Once it's copied, any BB-formatting addon allows to paste it as a proper link.
Rock on!
If there's a Candlekeep award for helping other scribes, I nominate TBeholder to get one.
But for now I'll just offer up a hearty thanks. |

That's pretty nifty... Just tried it with the link in my profile, and it worked quite nicely. |

Posted - 02 Jun 2012 : 19:06:50 Thank you both!
One of the things I like to do is try and link to Candlekeep from time to time when I'm on other forums, because there are still Realms fans out there who've been playing forever but don't know this website exists and aren't aware of all Candlekeep has to offer.
Is post indexing on the list of things to include in Candlekeep 2.0? |

Posted - 02 Jun 2012 : 18:25:08 Not that I know of, JG. If you're quick enough, you can go to a poster's profile page, see one of their recent posts of interest, and copy the direct link to that one post.
But once anyone else has posted to the scroll/thread, I know of no way to direct link to that particular post anymore.
Alaundo/Sage/Wooly, we need a user-friendly post indexing system. On RAS's yuku-based forums, there is an icon in the upper right-hand corner of every post that can be used for indexing in the future. Something like that, here, would be nice. |

Something like this http://forum.candlekeep.com/post.asp?method=TopicQuote&TOPIC_ID=16610&FORUM_ID=18 might work for you. |
