The system clearly appears to be having greater problems.

I just looked at who;s on and I saw Wooly once, "The Sage" three times and myself.

Even when I had two windows open, I have never seen myself logged as two users with the same name. However a few moments ago I saw The Sage logged in three times.

That is a way, I suppose. But it can be time consuming, especially if there are more than a few scrolls with out-of-synch post counts.

Really, it's just easier to update the forum tables. This way, the entire message board service is re-aligned, which re-registers all new posts and updates the post counts for all scrolls.

*blink* if reset is so easy, why has it not occurred yet? You considered the idea on the 25th and it is now the 27th.

(in his worst Scots accent)

Hae ye not 'eard a wyrd thot's bin sayid aboot 'is "To-Do Leest"?!?

(I don't know why I did that in a Scots accent. It's just been awhile since I did anything in a Scots accent...)

Because I haven't had the time. As it is, I've only been able to check in for a few minutes each day for the last week, and I need more time than that, to properly run the re-load. But if I don't do it, then Alaundo probably will.

Might be time for a re-loading of the Forum Registry Tables, I think.

I have thought about this idea and am granting I have not done coding for years (so do not know how Candlekeep code is). Might not it be easier to lock a topic and then administrate a correct number of posts? I well know code is entwined, however it also appears all posts can be read so that there are a few (maybe only one) places in code that effect display. The asp time out clearly is a problem, I got timed out two or three times before my post was received, after I deleted two of them that thread read -1 replies when it clearly had at least one.
Of course forced data can cause problems, so such experiment might be tried on already locked threads, there are enough of them that are off a page or two. Should such test work, a short time lock on active threads, then unlock should also work.

I resemble that remark...
I'll get lubed up, shall I?

LOVE,
THO
P.S. Sage? Wooly? Ed's thread now has THREE pages not shown on its Chamber of Sages display. This usually only lags a page or two behind, so I'd say the system is having major problems. Not to mention the post counts...

Hmmm. Sage Wars?

Uh Oh!

I'm sure the Lady K could also list many pros and cons [mostly the latter, though, I suspect ].

Yeah, that was kinda my fault. Since there were so few scribes in the halls, I tried experimenting with some ideas I've been having for Candlekeep 2. They necessitated that I log-in each time. I didn't expect there to be any actual disruption with the site however.

Sorry about that.
