I've a prob. I wanna really wrie about the realms, and I'd a good idea about elves and monks in a monastery, the monks don't know the elves are there, and the elves don't know the monks are there. Anyone have any suggestions?

*Has wits like a square block and a mind like a circle .... can never seem to fit the two together !!* Uhhhh.... I don't even know if I wish to touch this subject. It would seem that the new person has a bit of a problem. Much like myself he dose like to stick up for himself. However ... I hate to say this but I have to agree with Bookwyrm... That was really really weak. If your going to ask us for ideas could you pleave give us a bit more info upon the subject at hand. Its not hard... I personally like to leave some info out... but not that much info. Its like you handed me a good book * tossing the one in his hand back over his shoulder into his neat pile of read ones* and it is missing the whole middle section after page three, and just skips to the end. How would you plan to have them not know each other are there? Are they for some reason invisable to each other? Are there multiple levels of this place? Is there a rip or void in a time space like thing? Small little ideas like that can really help. Other wise you really should expect us to point laugh and send a nice wrapped up bundle of critisim to you. * sends you a gift, open it and you get the sounds of laughs* have a nice day.

Actually now I know where I've heard of something like that before.

It was an episode of Enterprise and the Monastery was Vulcan and there were secret passages thruought the place. The Vulcans were actually hiding a communications device and were spying (I think) on the surrounding areas. Something like that. Actually if you switch out the communications device for a magical item similar in concept to the Accumulator or something like that, it might be usable in some way.

If you could please elaborate more on the nature of your problems, then perhaps someone here can try to help you sort through the details.

Good learning...

HAH HAH!!!

With an attitude like that, I would say your intellect falls a little short of being a writer.

If you ask for help, you have to expect criticism. How many like you have come and gone, because your wit is as sharp as an anvil???

HAH YOU make me LAUGH!!!

I don't believe that you think we'll help you writing if you answer like that! Furthermore you were already warned, for the sake of candlekeep, try to refrain yourself from speaking in such ways

[Bookwyrm raises an eyebrow.] Oh dear. Tell me you're not another of those posturing newbies who come in seeking to build a reputation for 'toughness'. This is a quiet, serious library. We might not all be serious all the time, but we are when the subject is the Realms.

And besides, politeness is a virtue one should always cultivate. You did ask for input, after all, and I do warn in my profile that I can be severe when it comes to writing.

Weak. Give us some more information first. What you did hardly makes any logical sense.
