Posted - 13 Nov 2012 : 04:20:25 Ok, my new work and home life combined leave no room for me to play in a game.
Is anyone looking for a player for a game they are running?
I can play 1e, 2e, 3e, 3.5e or 4e...
I'm also open to playing in any format...though I admit I have a hard time with slow turn-around. I can try anything though!
Hope someone needs a player! |

Posted - 13 Nov 2012 : 21:26:41 Grumpy dwarves are fine, obnoxious elves likewise okay, even psychotic minotaurs if you want (although it might make going into urban areas a problem)
Well first thing is you will probably need my version of the rules. Then create a character. Then play.
As i said before we are all relative novices and its a play by email that has evolved into a kind of "round robin". I describe the scene, everyone gets one reply then its my go again and it repeats ad infinitum.
We use google drive for maps and character sheets etc.
I think the best starting point is if you have an email address then i can send you over whatever you might need and we can discuss characters and how the rules work (shouldnt make much difference to play from normal 3.5/pf)
Im pretty flexible where characters are concerned, but i do make sure everything is balanced and try to fit the character story into the campaign story/background.
Starting level is 2 at the moment. |

Again you are more than welcome to play but you would have to promise to be nice.
Even if I play a grumpy old dwarf?
As for me knowing anything...just ask folks around here...they can confirm I don't really know much of anything at all. I don't have to pretend to know nothing...I'm a ready made idgit all by my lonesome!
What do I do to play? |

Well met Dalor!
Gammel Krage has been on the outskirts of my campaign since I introduced him in Unicorn form some time ago. I'd really like your input as to what he would do when confronted with specific situations.
He's a brilliant character and has been creeping his way back into the picture of late, with the campaign finding itself in the forest east of Mistledale.
I suppose it would be a bit like roleplaying by proxy?
I'd love your input if it is ok to PM you?

Sure! PM me any time you have a question! |

Posted - 13 Nov 2012 : 09:26:05 I run a play by email campaign so again it would be a slow pace of play. Uses my own customised 3.5/pf ruleset. Loosely based in the forgotten realms but i am starting them with a campaign loosely based on The Night Below 2nd edition boxed set (i am completely rewriting it).
Always looking for new players (currently we have 4), but to be honest i think i would be a little intimidated by running an FR campaign for anyone that actually knows about the setting as im not particularly experienced as a DM and neither are most of the players, im holding their hand through most of it at the moment until they get a bit more familiar with rules and role play.
We all live in England so i envisage there would be quite a delay if you live in America but since its play by email i dont think it would matter.
Again you are more than welcome to play but you would have to promise to be nice. |
