Posted - 07 Jul 2003 : 19:17:28 Now, I have not played an RPG in a while unfortunately, and one of the resons me coming on to this website was to get back in touch with today's RPG world. The land of Golgat, a dimension I made up was the last place I played an RPG. Using the knowledge I had at the time, I came up with a slightly different set of rules with the help of a few friends. I also managed to come up with about 72 classes to choose from, and we began a little adventure of our own. Caphcerat, the token antagonist in the game had two main henchmen. Exilion, who I am sure if you heard any more about you would break down into tears, (!) and "Lord" Trikketh who used his fake title to help him in his deceitful deeds. In one town, Zind, I was walking along in the undergroung water system which was the primitive plumbing system of the town. In this network of caves, I met up with Lord Trikketh- a level 80 wizard* who specialised in projectile magic- by that, I mean the sort where bolts or orbs of energy are fired and on hitting any solid substance, explode. I was finding it very difficult holding this "pro" off by myself and struggled to keep ny sort of advantage- Trikketh had the upper hand. Until I met Omega. He happened to be walking in the system after hearing "all the commotion," so he told me, and used his skillful fire magic to help me. We were just about en par with each other and soon fought Trikketh off. After that, we went on many other expeditions as twosome.
*This is by the stndards of our revised set of playing rules, created for our own customised pen and paper RPG. I am afraid I have not played it for a long time and do not know where all of the papers got to- probably somewhere in my loft- I unfortunately couldn't tell you the exact specifications of the game, but am willing to share any adventures with you. One more thing, my keyboard is a bit dodgy at the moment and some letters, especially A's will be missing from the post, but I'm sure you won't mind! |
